The Vision Derbyshire grant scheme offers capital and revenue support for start up businesses in Derby and Derbyshire. You must be in your first 12 months of trading and registered with Companies House or HMRC and selling either business to business or business to consumer.
Grants of up to £10,000 may be available.
Where the project value is £1,000 - £4,000, a grant of up to 50% will be provided. For projects of £4,000 - £10,000, 25% grants will be awarded.
There maybe be variations in the above, in exceptional cases.
Funding must go towards:
Funding will not go towards essential running costs i.e. statutory obligations, utility bills, wages/ salaries, overheads, insurance, tax, basic standard IT, stock/consumables, feasibility studies/planning applications/professional fees, e.g. architect, accountant, consultant, basic training, radio/vehicle/newspaper advertising or vehicles and other mobile infrastructure.
No retrospective claims for items paid before project commencement will be considered. The business will be required to pay the supplier for the full cost of the project before claiming the grant element. Therefore, funds must be in place to cover these costs prior to submitting the application.
