Thursday 1st February 2018 witnessed a site visit to Tidyco’s Derby-based manufacturing facility from Anna Delvecchio and Peter Pollock from the Rail Supply Group (RSG).

Anna has been influential in developing a sector deal whilst Peter’s rail industry endeavours have seen him become appointed to Chair of the SME Council.

Both individuals are highly respected within the wider industry and as such; the visit provided Tidyco with a wonderful opportunity to showcase its engineering prowess whilst demonstrating the ability to add substantial value to large OEMs.

Barry Aldridge MCIM and Head of Marketing for Tidyco explains; “Tidyco has been working hard to ensure that as an SME the company supplies the wider industry in a transparent and ethical manner whilst striving to address initiatives to improve diversity figures. Furthermore, the company insists on the highest of standards and prides itself in supplying superior quality products which are proven to increase rolling stock efficiency.

It was fantastic to meet with Anna and Peter as it allowed me to discuss Tidyco’s involvement within the rail industry whilst promoting the Midlands as being a great place to live, work and invest.
There is an exciting amount of industrious activity taking place throughout the region whereby rail plays an incredibly intrinsic role.

I am very much looking forward to continuing the relationship so as to better communicate the importance that SMEs play within the supply of rail related products and services.”

The Tidyco presentation discussed the Midlands as possessing a rich history within rail and rolling stock, an area filled with creativity, diversity and culture whilst also boasting exceptional transport links.

Rolling stock products were demonstrated prior to proposing ideas as how best to implement an all-stakeholder encompassing shared learning hub.

The necessity to improve diversity figures was highlighted whereby Anna shared current initiatives being conducted by the Women in Rail organisation.
