Tidyco expands thanks to new service provision

East Midlands based Tidyco; a supplier of hydraulic and pneumatic solutions for over 40 years, launches a new reactive mobile pneumatic cylinder repair/replace service as part of the group’s on-going plans for expansion.

The latest development within the organisation’s service portfolio is now available throughout the East Midlands region, competently supported by a dedicated fleet of mobile engineers. Completely reactive to the needs of on-site pneumatic failure, Tidyco has implemented a bespoke remote workforce monitoring application so as to allocate call-out requests to the engineer within closest proximity. Of equal importance is the unique asset management technology, allowing for ease of visibility and re-order simplification via a Cyber Essentials certified secure cloud based platform.

Reactive mobile pneumatic repair is ideal for local quarries and ground preparation sites whereby large vehicles transport vast quantities of heavy aggregate on a continuous basis. Understandably, the pneumatic cylinders used to control the deposit of loads undergo extreme stresses each and every working day. Prone to damage, a failed pneumatic cylinder can cause critical downtime.

Empathetic towards the consideration that an on-site workforce typically has little time to source and travel to a pneumatic repair facility, wait or even worse; return at a later stage; Tidyco can be on-site, fast. The Tidyco mobile engineer will transport faulty items to the centrally located workshop; repair or re-manufacture to specification and in most instances, return the same working day.

The mobile solution will dramatically reduce client downtime whilst increasing productivity. As a marketing driven initiative, here Barry Aldridge MCIM and head of marketing for Tidyco, discusses the maximised efficiency based approach even further;

“I live in the heart of the National Forest which, as well as being extremely picturesque is also nestled deep within quarrying territory. As part of my daily commute, I continuously pass fleets of heavy vehicles; all transporting aggregate to various locations within the region. Of course, such trucks utilise pneumatic cylinders in accordance with Government fuelled legislation so as to deposit loads in a safely controlled manner. But; what happens if a pneumatic system fails, thus endangering health & safety obligations? How does the site manager reduce downtime? How does the Board lessen the risk of a dramatic loss in productivity? How long will it take to re-initiate pneumatic function? How can Tidyco as an ethical organisation ease these worrying concerns?

"It was a relatively simple idea to duplicate the existing Tidyco mobile hydraulic hose service and apply the business model within the realm of pneumatics. Strategically, a pre-existing mobile workforce is already well established with an impressive raft of engineering experience.

"Whilst my concept was focused very much on a localised niche industry, imperative to consider is that the reactive mobile service is applicable to any organisation within the East Midlands at risk of pneumatic failure.”

The operation will be managed by Mark Newman, Head of Reactive Services Division for Tidyco. Mark can be contacted on 01332 851 300. Email: mr.emntdc.ouaknwa@iyoc.k

With a background in client support, Mark has worked for Tidyco just shy of nine years and is the ideal candidate to coordinate the very latest service offering. Having managed customer service and mobile hydraulic replacement operations, Mark has the aptitude, experience and necessary skill sets to comfortably oversea all aspects of the pneumatic cylinder repair division.
