Spencer Academies Trust Seeks New Director

Posted on August 3rd, 2015

Chamber member the Spencer Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a new Director.

The voluntary role would be ideal for a senior leader from the private, independent or voluntary sectors.

The person would be joining a highly ambitious, medium-sized multi academy trust with integrity and a strong moral purpose, to improve the lives of young people irrespective of background and support communities. We operate in a spirit of collaboration, co-operation and inclusion.

The trust is based around George Spencer Academy, the lead school, which is an outstanding national support school, one of the first Teaching Schools and a regional Maths Hub, located in Stapleford/Toton area of Nottinghamshire.

There are ten schools within the trust with over 6,000 students and locations across the East Midlands.

It is highly successful at recruiting and training its own teachers and is a licensee for delivering leadership development programmes for school leaders.

It is looking for someone with successful business management skills, business acumen and knowledge who has a thirst for success, is willing to explore unchartered waters and can influence change.

Experience of working in education is not necessary. The time commitment would be a minimum of three two-hour meetings each year. The trust would also expect a certain amount of email and telephone exchanges as well.

If you are looking for a fresh challenge and the chance to influence the strategic direction of education and learning within an exciting growing multi-academy trust, then please contact Jill Wilkinson, Chief Operating Officer and Director, in the first instance at: jikno@eresecrntsshuwlisngog-pne.ot.c.k or telephone 0115 9170100 ext 611.
