Rolls-Royce Jobs Fair

Rolls-Royce plc and a group of local partners are arranging a Jobs Fair for companies within the Engineering sector on 26th September 2019 from 10am to 4pm at Rolls-Royce Leisure Centre, The Pavillion, Moor Lane, Derby DE24 9HY.

Partners include the local authorities, training providers, educational institutions, engineering related alliance and networks, Dept. of Work and Pensions, East Midlands Chamber of Commerce and the Talent Retention Solution programme (TRS).

For employers, this is an excellent opportunity to identify potential new employees with very strong skillsets in a variety of engineering and management disciplines. Employers are invited to participate with a full-day commitment including set-up and clear-up.

The Jobs Fair will help find alternative employment for Rolls-Royce employees who have shown an interest in other local opportunities as a consequence of workforce restructuring reductions. The jobs fair will be open to all employees during three timed sessions, morning and afternoon, to enable all to attend.

Here is a summary skillset list of the employees (about 400) who are expected to attend and who will be available later in 2019 to take up new roles:

Skills / Job Titles Likely % of attendees

Component Engineering (Component Definition Engineers
(CDG)/ Geometry Controllers, Aero Engineers, Design Engineers)

Professional Administration - Secretarial/Clerical 6%

Component Design - Subsystem Design Integrators 3%
Materials Technologists 3%

The above roles give an indication of the types of employee skills and valuable experience that will be available. Some employees may also be looking to transfer their skills into other roles and are open to opportunities in a range of different skill areas. Employees will be encouraged to attend the jobs fair with copies of their CV.

For attending employer representatives at the Jobs Fair, refreshments (tea, coffee and water) will be complimentary on the day and there will be a bar food service facility available for you to purchase lunch on-site.

The support of local employers has assisted in achieving considerable success for both Rolls-Royce employees and local employers at similar jobs fairs at other UK locations. Employer support during this redeployment initiative to retain local talent within Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and across the Midlands is greatly appreciated.
