The Ingenuity event is the annual talent search for future leaders and innovators and feeds into the work of the Ingenuity Lab where innovators are enabled to start a ground-breaking new enterprise. The competition has attracted over 1,000 participants since its inception and awarded over £359,000 in prizes.

Proodle Solutions Limited, was founded by The University of Nottingham business school graduates Shrenik Paras Parmar and Manuel Santiago Arbelaez. The team created an application to improve the international student recruitment efficiency and offer management services. It introduces the university and its programmes in a whole new way with the use of the latest state-of-the-art technologies leaving an everlasting impression, facilitating direct communication and making them feel proud of selecting a university.

Proodle is launching its product in collaboration with one of the top-ranked UK academic institutions for their 2019 MBA intake. On the other hand, the company is currently having advanced conversations with other esteemed institutions across the UK and Australia.

Having entered the Ingenuity Competition for the first time, the team came up with a robust business plan that has taken Ingenuity18 by storm.

“We are honoured to be recognised as an Ingenuity18 Award winner. Our focus is to continually improve experiences for our clients in the fast-paced world of higher education student recruitment. The significant benefits that we are looking forward to the winnings are to speed up our development and marketing process. The award will also help us provide free trials for early adopters, build contracts and other legal frameworks for our customers.

The support and mentorship received from world-class leaders at The Ingenuity Lab and D2N2 has helped us to grow, pivot at right times and build a disruptive product that is well accepted by the market. We can’t express our gratitude enough to the University of Nottingham for endorsing us for Tier1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa and The Ingenuity Lab for all of their support when it was most needed. Being an alumnus of this university has transformed my future and put me one step closer towards achieving my dreams”– Shrenik Paras Parmar - Founder and CEO of Proodle Solutions Limited.

“I am sure that Ingenuity 18 will have a positive and lasting impact on all of the participants. Some will have been inspired to pursue ideas that otherwise would have lay dormant. Others will have a much greater understanding of how innovation really works and they can use this to work together with our partners and supporters to solve the problems that they are most passionate about.” – Professor Simon Mosey, Director of the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

“The evening was hugely impressive and inspirational, demonstrating the high calibre of University of Nottingham students and graduates. It is satisfying to see that the businesses being created by the Ingenuity Event are world class. The Ingenuity18 event also points to an exciting future where we engage with all parts of the University’s diverse community to seek solutions to problems worth solving, as an institution, and globally.” – Professor Shearer West, Vice-Chancellor

“We are so pleased as a team that we have been able to once again showcase the amazing talent the University of Nottingham produces. The standard and the success is humbling and gives me hope that the future is in safe hands. We would like to congratulate not only all the winners, but all the participants who gained such value from the entire event” – Steven Chapman, Head of The Ingenuity Lab and Ingenuity Event Director
