Flood Support from Nottinghamshire County Council and Derbyshire County Council

Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire County Council have announced their support for residents and businesses affected by recent flooding. Both councils are offering emergency payments of up to £300 for small businesses who have been affected by the floods.

Marketing campaign nothing to do with the Chamber

We have received complaints that marketing material has been sent to members and other organisations suggesting that we are involved in a programme of workshops intended to ensure fleet operatives are legally compliant.

The material is individually targeted and suggests that the recipient firm has been charged with corporate manslaughter for non-compliance.

The Chamber has not supported this campaign and does not condone the methodology. Indeed, the Chamber views any assertion that it is in any way complicit in such marketing as highly offensive and potentially defamatory. Legal advice is being taken.
