Leading accountancy firm pledges further three years as headline Business Awards sponsor

Leading accountancy firm Mazars has committed to a further three years as headline sponsor of the East Midlands Chamber annual business awards.

Mazars, which has regional offices in Nottingham and Leicester, has been main sponsor of the event and sponsor of the Business of the Year Award for three years.

Earlier this month it confirmed its ongoing support for the region’s annual quest to find the crème de la crème of local businesses across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.

Alistair Wesson, Managing Partner at Mazars’ Nottingham office, said: “Mazars is delighted to continue its support of an excellent process which highlights and showcases the quality and achievement of East Midland business. Good luck to all applicants, we know there will be real stars in there.”

Mazars is a top-ten UK advisory and accounting firm employing almost 2,000 partners and staff and generating a turnover of approximately £170m. Internationally, Mazars is represented in over 100 countries.

Scott Knowles, Chief Executive at East Midlands Chamber, said: “We’re delighted to have a firm as prestigious as Mazars as our headline sponsor for another three years.

“Knowing we have the backing of a firm of such regional importance adds greater kudos to what are already the most important business awards in the region and the only ones where businesses are judged by their peers and can go on to compete at a national level at the British Chambers of Commerce Awards.”

The East Midlands Chamber Business Awards for 2019 launch at Love Business, the region’s biggest business expo, on 27 February. Full details, entry criteria and deadlines will be available on the website from that date.

The winners in each of the three counties will be announced at gala dinners in September.
