A specialist surveying company has praised the “excellent balance of space, location and facilities” of the Mansfield i-Centre, which has allowed their Nottinghamshire business to flourish.
Dalcour Maclaren is one of the leading firms of chartered surveyors within the utility and infrastructure sector. Headquartered in Oxfordshire, they have a network of eight offices across the UK, including their latest venture at the Mansfield i-Centre.
Managed by Oxford Innovation on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, Mansfield i-Centre is one of three sites which make up Nottinghamshire Innovation Centres. Together they provide a base to more than 175 growing businesses.
Ed Higson, Associate Director of Dalcour Maclaren, is heading up a team of six at the new office located at Oakham Business Park, Hamilton Way. A further two employees are set to join the team in March and the company is currently looking for another two people to join the workforce.
Mr Higson, said: “We’re delighted to establish a base in Mansfield which provides a central location to expand our services to new and existing clients using the excellent links to the M1 and A1.
“Our USP of acting exclusively for the utility and infrastructure sector, allows us to offer unparalleled chartered surveying services to our range of clients and is the reason for significant company growth. Our team advises clients across a wide range of services including land access, compensation, acquisitions and sales, agriculture, planning & development and compensation.
“Our Mansfield base is seen as a really good opportunity to contribute to the growth of the overall company and we anticipate an ongoing recruitment programme for surveyors and land officers at the Innovation Centre over the next 12 months at least.
“We now have an excellent balance of space, location and facilities with the flexibility to grow yet remain in the same building.”
The company is part of a hotbed of pioneering businesses based at the Mansfield i-Centre, which provides 36 self-contained offices and five workshop units ranging from 144 sq ft to 1,200 sq ft as well as meeting and conference facilities, a café and a children’s nursery.
Sally Wharton, Mansfield i-Centre Manager, added: “We pride ourselves on providing the flexibility, space and support to help businesses prosper and grow. We are always looking to welcome new businesses into our community. Located just a short distance from Mansfield town centre, the i-Centre is a modern and thriving business hub, designed around the needs of our customers and theirs.”
There are five offices currently available at the centre.
