Queen's Award for Chamber patron Qdos

Qdos Holdings has been awarded the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category.

The Leicester-based company, which employs over 100-people at its Thurmaston offices, has grown 115% since 2012 and now has a turnover in excess of £30m.

The award has been given in recognition of the development and creation of a unique technology-based platform that has revolutionised the way brokers and retail customers quote and purchase their insurance products.

Commenting on the honour, Executive Chairman Steve Greenwell said: “This is a momentous achievement for the business and I would like to say a huge thank you to our dedicated team of employees for all the hard work they have all put in over the years.

"The journey began just over ten years ago and we are now one of the UK’s leading specialist insurance brokers using state of the art technology-based systems to meet the challenges of the modern age – the Queen's Award is a wonderful acknowledgement of how far we have come.”

Brendan Dawson, the Executive Director who submitted the entry on behalf of the business, said: “Qdos has focused on developing new and innovative ways of doing business, ensuring we are at the cutting edge, and specialists in our field – this is a tremendous accolade. I look forward to receiving the award with Steve on behalf of all our staff and colleagues.”

Steve Greenwell and Brendan Dawson will accept the award from Her Majesty the Queen at a reception at Buckingham Palace later in the year.
