Membership of East Midlands Chamber* topped the 4,000 mark this year when Ultimation Direct UK, of Newark, joined.
The landmark will be announced by Chamber President Geoff Poyzer at the Chamber’s annual dinner in Derby tonight, where former head of MI5 Baroness Manningham-Buller and the Rt Hon Sir Patrick McLoughlin, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and MP for Derbyshire Dales, will be guest speakers.
Ultimation Direct UK is a manufacturing company specialising in the design, production and installation of perimeter security and access control products, including automated gates and barriers.
Led by an ambitious management team, it employs 26 people at its premises in Telford Drive and offers design and installation services throughout the UK.
The company is privately owned by its directors who have many years’ experience in the engineering and physical security sectors and a commitment to continue to work closely with customers.
It will work with the Chamber to develop its international trade, calling on the Chamber’s strategic expertise to support its drive into overseas markets.
Tony Smith, Sales Manager at Ultimation Direct UK, said: “We have an established reputation in the UK but felt the time had come to broaden our horizons and we know that the Chamber has the expertise and connections to help us.
“We are looking forward to working with the Chamber to achieve this ambition.”
Scott Knowles, the Chamber’s Chief Executive, said: “We’re delighted that Ultimation Direct has joined the Chamber and that it was our 4,000th member.
“We’d been sitting marginally shy of the 4,000 figure for two or three months and then some of the hard work done by our membership team in January paid off with a number of new members signing up – taking us today to well over the 4,000 mark.”
