To support businesses in Gedling and help overcome some of the potential unease around AI, a free workshop will take place during the next Gedling Business Support Network meeting.
The Network was established earlier in the year to help local business owners improve their skills, network and provide access to local and national business support. It is funded by Gedling Borough Council’s share of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and delivered by East Midlands Chamber.
The next meeting takes place from 10.00am to 12.10pm on Friday 15th November at Sacred Heart Community Centre in Carlton and includes a breakfast brunch. Any business located in or doing business in Gedling may attend.
The free mini workshop entitled 'AI in the Workplace: Trends and Opportunities' will be run by digital strategist Martin Broadhurst. As a Chartered Institute of Marketing tutor and experienced digital agency leader, Martin has been helping people hone their digital skills for over 10 years. He said:
“This session for Gedling businesses will provide a brief overview of the current state of AI, and its potential impact on businesses. I’ll also provide some of the more practical ways to leverage AI for business growth. Some of these things business owners will be able to start doing straight away to save time and improve efficiency.”
The November meeting also includes an update on Gedling Borough Council and Accelerator grants from Alison North of Nottinghamshire County Council and Lisa Baggott of East Midlands Chamber.
Councillor Jenny Hollingsworth, Portfolio Holder for Sustainable Growth and Economy at Gedling Borough Council, said:
“We’re looking forward to another successful business support network meeting where Gedling businesses can get together and find out how AI can potentially help them to thrive. These monthly meetings are a valuable opportunity to connect and collaborate whilst developing their business knowledge and partnerships at the same time.”
