Dave Atkins of Black Jack Fun Casino explains how the company gained national exposure with the help of the Growth Hub
We are Blackjackfuncasino.com , our main source of business is the supply of Casino entertainment to weddings, parties and corporate events.
Whist business is thriving we needed to update the look and feel of our website. For this we looked to D2N2 business growth hub for additional training to help us freshen up our website.
Having signed up to a hand full of courses we spent a lot of time implementing changes. Our website is now transformed and looks modern, inviting and is driving more traffic and most importantly converting into more bookings… a real success!
However with our new found skills (thanks to D2N2’s training courses) we came up with more business ideas and applications of the skills learnt on the training courses….
The launch of 2 new company websites -
1 - Following more training courses we launched our new business – props4parties.co.uk which uses an e-commerce website to book party decoration hire.
We believe we have introduced a new, cheaper way to hire party prop decorations and have found a gap in the market and are now competing with big business Prop Hire.
2 - PersonalisedFunMoney.co.uk - This website compliments our original business by designing novelty bank notes and with the added website functionality of ordering online we can now offer our product to the general public with ease.
Within a few months our sales were rising at a steady pace…
We were then contacted by a buyer for Britain’s Got Talent who went onto order personalised bank notes for both Simon Cowell and Akshat (the Indian dancer). Both bank notes were featured in the 1st of the live semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent!
Simon Cowell's £100 notes - These were shown in the opening sequence where Ant and Dec dance into the Apollo. As they sing about the opportunity to win £250,000 the camera cuts to shot of the queen (fake queen) who opens a briefcase with all of Simon’s money inside!
Bank of Akshat Singh - We also were asked to create £50 notes for Akshat’s performance (the happy Indian dancer).
The images of Akshat’s money were projected on the background screen falling down.
Akshat's actual £50 notes were thrown into the air by Akshat when the dance routine turned to the song ‘I just got paid’ came on in the middle of his dance routine.
In the judges comments Alisha & Amanda loved our fun money with Amanda asking if she could spend them in Nandos!
