The prestigious list, reported annually by Penton Technology, attracts thousands of entries every year and identifies the world’s top 501 and most progressive managed service providers (MSPs).

Coming in at position 224 and well within the top 250 MSPs worldwide, the result marks the company’s third appearance on the list – since climbing up 16 places from position 240 last year and 279th in 2015.

As well as marking their second anniversary at the top of the board across the East Midlands, the listing has placed the firm 12th in the UK and 20th in the top 50 list covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Managing Director, James Healey says the result represents Air-IT’s “continued growth and improvement” and said: “This is fantastic recognition of our status as a leading provider of Managed IT and Communication services for the region and beyond.

“It’s always an honour to win awards and there’s no higher praise than being recognised on the world stage.

“We’re an ambitious company and the achievement reinforces our promise to provide world-class service to each and every one of our clients. This has and will continue to remain the same as we plan to keep improving on this commitment.”

“On behalf of Penton and MSPmentor, I would like to congratulate Air-IT for its recognition as an MSP 501 honouree," said Aldrin Brown, Editor in Chief, MSPmentor. “The managed service provider market is evolving at a rapid pace and the companies showcased on the 2017 MSP 501 list represent the most agile, flexible and innovative organisations in the industry.”

Putting the highest value on revenue from managed and cloud services, MSPmentor’s algorithm assesses company strength based on these core market activities.

Basing operational maturity on key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as number of employee’s and the total number of client devices supported, the panel are able to assess MSPs on their services and value being provided.

With over 400 clients and 45 staff, Air-IT has recently moved its head office to larger premises at Interchange 25 Business Park to accommodate its growing team, with another 10 positions being added by 2018.

Healey adds: “With further plans for growth and expansion throughout 2017 and beyond, we’re very much looking forward to next year’s list when we’re hoping to break into the top 200 MSPs worldwide.”
