Flood Support from Nottinghamshire County Council and Derbyshire County Council

Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire County Council have announced their support for residents and businesses affected by recent flooding. Both councils are offering emergency payments of up to £300 for small businesses who have been affected by the floods.

Workshops at flagship iHub Innovation Centre achieve full occupancy

The £12m iHub innovation centre on Infinity Park in Derby has scored another success after its state-of-the-art hybrid workshop achieved 100% occupancy.

Ideas mean business - Innovation Live event in Nottingham

To help more young adults make their ideas a success, Innovate UK and The Prince’s Trust are launching a national campaign to find the next generation of UK innovators, and provide them with support, advice and funding. The programme - Ideas mean business - is open to 18 to 30-year-olds from a range of backgrounds. Young adults with ideas to fix everyday problems, make changes in their community or tackle environmental issues are invited to take part.

Interested young innovators in the East Midlands are invited to attend the “Innovation Live” event at Ingenuity Centre, Nottingham, on 2 March 2018. The programme aims to turn business ideas into a reality through 1:1 coaching and mentoring, supportive funding and includes an allowance for living costs. To sign up, please visit
