Funny business

Scott Knowles
Chamber Chief Executive Scott Knowles is hoping to raise a laugh or two and money for charity by taking part in this year’s Leicester Stand Up Challenge.

More accustomed to delivering hard-hitting messages about business across the region, Scott, who is also Chair of the Community Interest Company that runs Leicester Business Festival, was talked into performing five minutes of original funny material.

He will be one of many ‘artistes’ from the business community stepping out of their comfort zone to perform at The Y, in Leicester, on 25 October.

The Stand Up Challenge is supported each year by business people who take up the challenge to write and perform their first ever five minutes of stand-up comedy, live on stage, in front of colleagues, clients, friends and family, to raise funds for a local charity.

The Stand Up Challenge shows in 2015 and 2016 saw 24 brave business community participants take to the stage in both Leicester and Nottingham to raise funds for the charity Big Difference Company.

If you can’t get along to the event, you can support Scott by making a donation at
