Daily Telegraph questions non-electrification of MML

Last week's controversial last-day-of-Parliament anouncement by Transport Secretary Chris Grayling not to electrify the Midland Main Line north of Kettering continued to make headlines this morning.

It featured in a Daily Telegraph article on HS2, where the paper questioned the logic of not electrifying just 70 miles of the existing route between London and Sheffield, especially as there will be an HS2 spur through Chesterfield and Sheffield, using existing track, that will have to be electrified for HS2 trains.
