Cubo concept office approved

Bondholder Staton Young will be bringing a new office concept to Derby city centre following planning approval by Derby City Council.

Staton Young will be transforming the Grade-II listed Old Post Office on Victoria Street into CUBO - 20,000 sq. ft of luxury, modern office space, with vast amounts of co-working space, hot desking, designated desks and private offices.

Tenants will be able to enjoy the many perks of CUBO. Love coffee? CUBO members/tenants can enjoy free coffee from an in-house barista. Love a beer? It will be in the co-working space on tap! Not to mention the hidden gems in the basement – a gym and wellness room, and more to be revealed.

The CUBO theory is to ‘LIVE CUBO, WORK CUBO’. Staton Young wants to create a working environment that makes people not only just want to come to work but to also work to their best ability. The tenants will be able to access all of the facilities 24 hours a day.

A planning application was submitted at the beginning of April and the scheme has now been given the go-ahead by fellow Bondholder Derby City Council, with Bondholder Planning and Design Practice having supported them through the planning process.

Rebecca Brough, Managing Director commented “We are delighted that we have finally had approval and can now start work on our CUBO project in Derby. It is a very exciting time for the company, and we can’t wait to announce the grand opening!”
