Cream of East Midlands Businesses Through To Pitchfest Final

Following months of pitch training 10 successful companies have now been selected for the final of Pitchfest at Venturefest East Midlands. The competition, run alongside KTN who have provided pitch training to applicants, will see these companies pitching live from the Main Stage at Venturefest East Midlands on 22 March at Derby Arena in a bid to win a business support package worth £10,000.

Pitchfest launched in late 2016 when companies were asked to complete a short application form and those shortlisted were then invited to take part in an expert pitch training programme. The 10 selected finalists will now battle it out in front of a live audience of investors, business owners, press and peers on the Main Stage at Venturefest East Midlands on 22 March.

Company Director, Chris Nankervis, commented, “PitchFest provided me invaluable training material to help shape my pitch. Conveying the right information to judges in just five minutes can be challenging, particularly for a tech business. The organisers helped me to deliver both a concise and well-balanced presentation.”

Paula Rogers Brown, KTN Venturefest Network Manager, added, “The standard of entries to PItchfest this year was very high. Last year the Pitchfest final was one of the highlights of the Main Stage at Venturefest East Midlands and we’re in for another fantastic final on 22 March in Derby”
