Choice of Birmingham to host Games is welcomed

The decision to let Birmingham host the 2022 Commonwealth Games has been welcomed by East Midlands Chamber.

Chris Hobson, Director of Policy at East Midlands Chamber, said: “We congratulate Birmingham on winning the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

“This will bring thousands of people from all over the world to the Midlands and give us a chance to showcase what we have to offer, from the heritage of our fantastic cities, our industries and infrastructure to some of the most beautiful countryside in the world.”
