The role is to lead and develop the D2N2 Growth Hub. The role involves the direct management of two D2N2 staff (Partnership Manager and Access to Finance Manager) and indirect reports in partner agencies. A key role of the Growth Hub advisors is to sign post businesses to the range of business support programmes which are available across the Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire area. The business support programmes are delivered by a variety of partners - local authorities, Universities and other agencies and partners. The role reports to the D2N2 Growth Hub board with line management to the Head of Business Growth in Nottingham City Council.
The role is to lead the business support across D2N2 which is available to over 30,000 small and medium sized enterprises (SME). The wider Growth Hub team delivers a range of services to businesses (finance, start up, innovation) and the central Growth Hub team purpose is to market the services to businesses, sign post them to the best support and help grow the businesses in the whole D2N2 area.
• Understanding what businesses need to help them grow, especially for SMEs
• Leadership and management - to manage a small team, and the wider partnership across the D2N2 region
• Delivery and results orientated - to manage teams and partnership teams to deliver the agreed outputs
• Knowledge and experience of funded programmes such as ERDF funded business support programmes
• Communications skills - presentation skills to wider groups and written reports to the Board, and wider marketing communications to promote the Growth Hub
• Budget and financial management and reporting.
This role is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
