BBC seeks interactive audience for TV election debate

Posted on May 17th, 2017

The BBC is looking for people to take part in a pre-election televised debate.

Filming will take place at a venue yet to be confirmed in Nottingham on bank holiday Monday 29 May between 4.30pm and 6.45pm.

The show is due to be broadcast after the late news on Tuesday 30 May.

Anyone wanting to take part must apply using the attached form - BBC election debate questionnaire - which once completed should be emailed to hlnmclohbcc.kee.culc@b.ou with TV election debate in the subject line or which can be printed and posted to Helen McCulloch, BBC Nottingham, London Road, NG2 4UU.

The BBC has assured us that information gathered on the form will be held in the strictest confidence and will not be revealed even during the show.

East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire) has no vested interested in the production and is playing no part in it beyond possibly being a participating audience member. Any arrangement made to appear on the programme will be a contract between the participant and the BBC exclusively.
