Air-IT Double Joy as Finalists in Global Service Desk Awards

East Midlands based managed service provider, Air-IT have been named as finalists in the Best Small Enterprise Managed Service Provider Award and the Service Desk Manager of the Year Award in the IT Service & Support awards which are held annually by the Service Desk Institute (SDI) and celebrated by the industry worldwide.

It comes as great news for the ICT company who serve over 400 clients across the region and nationwide. Led by increasing demand for their services, the technology firm moved to larger premises last July to accommodate their growing team of support technicians. Speaking of the news, Managing Director, James Healey said: “This is fantastic recognition for our service desk team. SDI sets globally recognised best practice standards within our industry so it’s really exciting to be shortlisted for these prestigious awards.”

Established in 1988, the Service Desk Institute (SDI) partners with companies worldwide to provide support and guidance on best industry practice. Now in their 23rd year, the IT Service & Support Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals and teams for the contribution they make to the success of their business. Chief Executive Officer at the SDI Tessa Troubridge said: “These awards are one of the most brilliant opportunities to highlight the best service desks in the industry globally, and Air-IT deserves massive congratulations for reaching the final in not just one, but two, categories.
“Both categories were extremely competitive and the team did a great job to reach the shortlist and make it through to the final three in Best Small MSP and Service Desk Manager of the Year.”

Award winners will be announced on Tuesday 13th March at a celebratory dinner taking place at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham which is expected to attract over 600 people from the global IT service and support community.
Healey adds: “Whatever happens, I’d like to thank everyone at Air-IT for their continued efforts. Reaching this stage is an incredible achievement in itself and we’re extremely proud to be involved.”
