Midlands–based construction firm, GF Tomlinson will celebrate a key milestone in the construction of the Innovation Centre at Infinity Park, Derby, tomorrow.

An 18-metre twisted two-blade sculpture, which represents engineering and design in the transport industry, will be installed at the multi-million pound construction site.

The sculpture will stand a full six metres above the highest point of the three storey building, equivalent to five double decker buses, and will serve as a beacon for the site within the Infinity Park.

Special guests will be joining GF Tomlinson for the ceremony, which will see the iconic artwork mounted into place in the Innovation Centre’s courtyard.

The dramatic sculpture was commissioned especially for the landmark development to symbolise the work taking place at the centre by new and emerging businesses.
