British businesses can report issues preventing them from trading around the world through an online form: Report a Trade Barrier.
Once a request is submitted, it is shared with the Department for International Trade’s team of trade experts who assess trade barriers and work with other governments to resolve these issues.
Barriers include unnecessary, legal, regulatory or administrative requirements such as labelling restrictions, out-of-date regulations and licensing requirements.
