The Chapel-en-le-Frith shop front grant scheme aims to improve the appearance of shop fronts, support business growth, the local environment and to raise the profile of the community.
The scheme will pay for shop fronts, building facades and private pavement areas in front of the conservation area shops.
Grants will be awarded between £200 and £2,000 which must be match funded by the applicant by contributing at least 50% of the cost. The grant will cover materials and labour but not VAT.
If your property is within the Chapel Conservation Area, prior to submitting your application for a grant, please use the free surgery appointments offered by High Peak Borough Council Planning staff. Should planning permission be required for your proposed works, a contribution to this fee is permittable through this grant.
Applications for the grant should be sent to clerk@chapelpc.org
