High Peak Borough Council have launched grants from £300 up to £3000 for regular market traders and licenced market organisers in the area.
Regular market traders or leaseholders can apply for 33% of existing rent paid or due for payment up to a maximum of £1,000 from 1st August 2021 to 31st March 2022. Plus an additional £200 contribution for traders to use for marketing materials, business support, display equipment or enhancement. For any trader taking an additional outdoor stall, a supplement can also be applied for.
Leaseholders of a permanent market unit or market lock up shops can apply or grants of up to £3000 for improvements to your market unit including new shop fittings, redecorating, lighting, signage. All works must be completed by 31/3/2022. Quotes for costs need to be submitted with the application, payment will be made on production of evidence of payment. .
Licenced market organisers or a traders groups can apply for a grant toward promoting footfall to the market. Grants up to £3,000 for marketing, promotion of the market, entertainment or activities to attract new customers or traders to the market. Activities have to be completed by 31/3/2022.
