Business Growth and Productivity Grant Programme

Newark and Sherwood District Council has launched a business grant scheme that will support local small businesses and contribute towards the sustainable economic growth of the district.

Grants of £2,500 and £10,000 are available. These must be 40% match funded and is available to micro and small businesses (with up to 5o full time employees). You must be trading for a minimum of 12 months.

Eligible projects may include:

• Purchasing small-scale equipment, software or services to introduce new products, processes or services to market where it will increase productivity
• Investments that improve operational efficiency, leading to job creation or increased productivity
• Sustainability initiatives, such as energy-efficient equipment, technology that reduces carbon emissions and improvements to reduce environmental impact.

Rural England Prosperity Fund Grants

Grants of between £10,000 and £40,000 are available for capital projects that grow the rural economy or enhance community infrastructure.

It is open to charities, clubs, and voluntary groups, higher and Further Education providers, small and micro businesses (under 50 employees) and other legally constituted organisations.

• 20% match funding requirement for community organisations
• 40% match funding requirement for rural enterprises

Further Information

Must be operating for over 12 months. The deadline for applications is 16th July 2025 at 11:59pm.

Any projects must be completed by 31st January 2026.
