As part of the Accelerator programme, Ashfield District Council have launched a Decarbonisation Grant to support micro-businesses employing between 0 - 9 employees, investing up to £3000 towards decarbonisation projects and reducing their carbon footprint.

The grant is divided into two phases:

  • Phase 1 will be an energy audit of the business
  • Phase 2 contributing to the energy efficiency measures identified in the audit

In order to access this grant, the business must have had an energy audit, and can only be used on implementing actions documented in the action plans that have come from the audit. The grant must also create an outcome.

This grant is only open to micro-sized businesses who have physical commercial premises and have had the decarbonisation audit with an action plan. This grant can only be used towards what’s on that audit action plan. We can accept sole traders.

Please be aware that ‘home based businesses’ cannot apply for this grant.
