*Derby City Council are not currently accepting any new applications for Ascend.*

Ascend offers grants and loans to eligible small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) that are based within or relocating to the City of Derby.

Applicants must be an SME limited company that has been trading for at least one year that is liable for business rates or in a commercial shared workspace in the city.

Ascend has three programmes for businesses to apply for:

Growth Grants - up to £35k grant 35% intervention rate, for capital or revenue expenditure
Growth Loans - £10k - £200k of loan funding for capital or revenue expenditure
Vacant to Vibrant Grants - grants to support reactivation of empty units focussing around the Cathedral Quarter and Becketwell area of Derby
