Whilst COVID-19 understandably dominates world headlines, behind the scenes, the UK continues to prepare for the end of the EU-UK transition period. The message from government is that businesses must be prepared.
Have you considered taking this opportunity to develop your international trade ‘toolkit’? What, if any, processes do you have in the business when buying from and selling abroad? How confident are you on commodity codes, duties, taxes, licencing and documentary requirements for import and export? Do you understand the company’s legal obligations behind all these?
This webinar offers importers and exporters the opportunity to enhance their understanding of key themes whilst exploring and learning to navigate a selection of new and existing online platforms which are essential reference tools as we move towards our new trading relationship with Europe.

Becky has been an accredited member of the Institute of Export for over twenty years and runs her own business delivering international trade support and training to SME’s from a wide range of industry sectors across the UK.
Becky works on private and public-sector projects, including assistance for companies engaged with support programmes with both the DIT and Welsh Government. She has been involved in the delivery of mentoring and training for hundreds of SMEs over the years, both independently and with associate projects. She is actively engaged by Chambers of Commerce across the UK to deliver British Chambers of Commerce accredited and non-accredited courses, and also offers independent training courses ranging from strategic development to the practicalities of the import and export processes. These are available as both public and in-house courses. In response to the current business climate, a new suite of suite of short, online sessions has now been developed to enable traders to continue their learning journey from the safety of their own office – hopefully with a nice cup of coffee and not too much distraction!
