Host: D2N2 Growth Hub
Location: Online - Webinar
Date: Wednesday, 27th May 2020 at 10.00am - 12.00pm
This webinar is hosted by the D2N2 Growth Hub, East Midlands Chamber and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 earlier this year, the UK spent 3 ½ years debating a withdrawal agreement with the EU. The separation process thus far has been something akin to a military assault course and there are many obstacles to be navigated before the end of the transition period – still scheduled for December 2020.
How well are you preparing for your part in this? Will your business be leading from the front having undertaken adequate preparation of both staff and processes so that the obstacles are easier to conquer? Or are you a ‘have a go’ hero who is planning to join the course at the last minute or part way through and see what happens?
Whether a seasoned importer/ exporter or new to the process, this webinar will give an overview of the assault course and walk you through some of the main obstacles, whilst giving you some tips on how to get your business in the best possible shape for the challenge.

Becky has been an accredited member of the Institute of Export for over twenty years and runs her own business delivering international trade support and training to SME’s from a wide range of industry sectors across the UK.
Becky works on private and public-sector projects, including assistance for companies engaged with support programmes with both the DIT and Welsh Government. She has been involved in the delivery of mentoring and training for hundreds of SMEs over the years, both independently and with associate projects. She is actively engaged by Chambers of Commerce across the UK to deliver British Chambers of Commerce accredited and non-accredited courses, and also offers independent training courses ranging from strategic development to the practicalities of the import and export processes. These are available as both public and in-house courses. In response to the current business climate, a new suite of suite of short, online sessions has now been developed to enable traders to continue their learning journey from the safety of their own office – hopefully with a nice cup of coffee and not too much distraction!
