The Sustainability Community Lab (SCL) consists of a series of workshops which feature transformative learning activities and peer networking to foster knowledge exchange between businesses.
This event is delivered by the Sustainability in Enterprise project which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
For: Early career employees within Nottingham SMEs
Aim: To support participants to become a sustainability advocate, providing them with the knowledge and tools to improve sustainable practices within their enterprise.
Format: Six half-day workshops over eight weeks (delivered on city campus)
Please note: This programme is exclusively for SMEs in the Greater Nottingham (SUDS) area.
Holistic and intersectional sustainability: exploring sustainability theory; helping graduates to develop sustainability mindsets, understanding the breadth and depth of sustainability and how it intersects with human and business activity.
Sustainability in business: broadening understanding and relevance of sustainability in an economical and business context, utilising tools available to assess business sustainability, applying critical thinking and analysis to business case studies, recognising opportunities to innovate and drive strategic change.
Sustainability advocacy: embedding sustainability into business culture, effectively advocating and framing issues around sustainability with key stakeholders, the use of social media and content creation.
Participants will need to attend all six sessions. They will take place on NTU’s City Campus – more specific location details will be provided after registration.
If you cannot attend this cohort, please note there is also a cohort taking place in August - October 22.
