This Ready to Grow taster session is hosted by the D2N2 Growth Hub and is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Sales and Marketing are two separate business functions, but to achieve successful business growth you need to form a cohesive partnership between the two departments.

Marketing is the process by which you draw interest to your company, differentiate yourself from competitors and attract customers to generate sales leads; the nuggets of gold your company strives for.

Sales interact with the prospects to convert sales leads into customers to generate revenue and make your business profitable.

Sales Myths Unlocked will help you to differentiate between marketing and sales activities, and how to leverage both to your company’s advantage.


Who Should Attend:

The Ready to Grow programme is aimed at:

  • SMEs in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire who employ five or more people.

  • Business owners, leaders and entrepreneurs who have a desire to grow their business but need help getting there.

Note: this session is not suitable for sole-traders.

  • Lead generation and efficient conversion of a sales lead

  • Who is responsible for marketing and sales?

  • Importance of relationship building

  • How do you differentiate and target your prospects?

John Mattison

John Mattison has over 40 years of experience in a wide variety of industries across both the public and private sector, the majority of which has been at senior management, board and managing director level.

More recently, he has been using his skills and experience to coach and mentor business leaders to help them achieve their business growth ambitions.
