Online sales platforms and e-commerce websites appear to be an appealing choice for many businesses hoping to change the way their products are marketed. This session will walk you through a checklist of items to consider before launching your online products.

The webinar will address the legal requirements for online product labelling, as well as the explanation of product safety during storage and distribution.

This webinar will introduce you to all things technical and non-technical that should be considered before entering the world of eCommerce if you are hoping to enter your items into the online market but are unsure of where to start.

A variety of subjects will be discussed to assist you in successfully listing and marketing your products, pricing them competitively, packaging them, and shipping them to their eventual consumer.

We will make sure you fully understand the technical standards for food safety, labelling advice in addition to items to watch out for when distributing.

Your Trainers Trudi Waldram and Richard Wigley

Trudi enjoys working with food and drink businesses to develop and implement their plans for growth and success. She is a dynamic and upbeat member of the Food and Drink Forum team.

With years of experience working with and assisting SMEs around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, this senior project manager is an expert in her field. Before working in the education sector, where she spent 10 years teaching at the secondary level, Trudi's earlier career included working in textile manufacturing and supermarket merchandising.

With a Bachelor’s in Food Science, Richard has been the Senior Technical Manager at the Forum for over 17 years. He is a certified IFST Registered Food Scientist and Auditor, BRC Internal Auditor, SALSA Auditor and Mentor and a USA/FDA approved expert. Richard is also qualified to Health and Safety NEBOSH Certificate & Level 4 in Sustainable Practices for Food Businesses.

 

This event is being delivered as part of the Accelerator project and is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).

To be eligible to attend this event you must be a food and drink business based in one of the following districts: Amber Valley; Ashfield; Bassetlaw; Broxtowe; Chesterfield; Derby; Derbyshire Dales; Erewash; Gedling; High Peak; Leicester City; Mansfield; Newark & Sherwood; North East Derbyshire; Nottingham; Rushcliffe; or South Derbyshire.
