A series of weekly support webinars providing businesses across the East Midlands with help and support during the Covid-19 crisis.

About this Event

Join Building Business Resilience for their weekly Coronavirus Support Webinars with Leigh Sear and Meryl Levington from the Building Business Resilience Project working across the East Midlands.

This is a virtual lunchbreak and the chance to learn about protecting and supporting your business during the Covid-19 Crisis and the various government schemes and initiatives that are available to small businesses and their employees.

This week Meryl and Leigh will be joined by Neil Warwick OBE, Partner in DAC Beachcroft from their commercial team who specialises in EU and Competition law and is the National Chair for International Trade with the FSB.

DAC Beachcroft specialise in insurance and Neil advises many national and regional government bodies as well as working in the private sector. He is the legal expert on the Business Resilience Team.

They will be looking at some of the issues around the law and insurance which may have impacted on your business during this crisis, and also how things may change moving forward.

They are already seeing conflicts between what government departments are advising and what the law states, they will be looking at how to navigate this as a business, and looking at what insurances and protections businesses may want to consider in the future.

They will also be looking at how to manage remote workers and ensure they have the support and equipment they need to work from home.

They will also touch on how business owners can protect themselves from legal challenges from customers, suppliers and staff by carefully checking contracts, agreements and terms and conditions.

They are still keen to hear about your experiences and what challenges you may be facing or bringing

The webinar will run through Zoom so you will need to download the app on a phone or tablet or watch through a PC with a camera speaker/or headphones a mic.
