Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is pleased to offer free (fully funded) places on this course to support individuals and employees of businesses that are based in the towns of Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield.

Public relations, or 'PR', is all about the way organisations communicate with the public, promote themselves, and build a positive reputation and public image.
On this course you'll consider and manage how you are represented in the media (both online and in printed material), and how you are perceived by your stakeholders and the wider public.
This course is ideal for business owners or managers and for anyone that needs to understand how you and your business are perceived.
It's also for anyone with an interest in marketing who is interested in developing the knowledge and skills which they can apply in any area of their life - whether marketing yourself or developing writing skills.
On this course you'll understand the theory of PR and how it fits with your marketing plans.
You'll discover how to structure a basic PR campaign and identify PR tactics available for you to implement.
You'll also prepare for responding to unwanted stories, understand how to run a successful press conference and complete media training so that you can be an effective spokesperson for any organisation.
