Smart Cities
A smart city is a city that makes use of technologies for sensing activity and environmental factors to enhance the living and working environment for its inhabitants. In a smart city the various city level technologies interact with on-person, device, vehicle and building technologies to achieve situations where typical problems such as air pollution or traffic jams can be avoided and energy consumption can be optimised and wellbeing of the cities’ ‘users’ can be improved. The sensed data is automatically processed and acted upon using AI technologies and digital twinning and other predictive technology allows for modelling and simulation of the near-term (and eventually time long-term) future.
