Delivered by Dr Alok Choudhary, PhD, FHEA, Reader in Supply Chain Management, School of Business and Economics, Loughborough University this session will explore how your business can ensure that your environmental policies and commitments are aligned to the supply chain requirements set by HS2 Ltd.
HS2 will expect their Tier 1 contractors – and by extension, the supply chain, to help them achieve our sustainability targets. The want the supply chain to provide evidence of reducing the quantity of materials – and increasing the efficiency of their use – throughout the project as well as our suppliers obtaining responsible sourcing certification and actively seek to reduce their carbon footprint.
Sustainability is key to the HS2 Ltd culture and aims to bring economic, social and environmental benefits to the UK.
Aimed at SMEs, who are not particularly well versed in embedding environmental processes into their business, this session will provide practical actions that you can undertake to begin your sustainability journey, with an eye to fulfilling the requirements set in the HS2 Ltd tender criteria.
