The High Growth Academy is an exciting programme of events, workshops and forums, brought to you by East Midlands Chamber in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University, University of Derby and University of Nottingham. It is aimed at businesses in the EMCCA region.

Join us for the High Growth Academy:Growth Forum designed to bring together High Growth businesses for valuable networking opportunities and insightful keynote speakers.

For November’s Forum, we are excited to be welcome Professor Marvin Cooke OBE DL, Former Executive Vice President for Manufacturing at Toyota Motor Europe.

Prof Marvin Cooke will share some of his 40 years in industry and extensive strategic leadership experience to support high growth companies on their expansion journey. His talk will cover 'Big Business, Small Feel: Strategy, Systems, & the Human Touch'.

  • How can organisations maintain a personalised, human-centred approach while scaling operations through strategic planning and robust systems?
  • How can we balance efficiency and empathy?
  • How can innovation, organisational culture, and leadership practices support both growth and authenticity?

Who should attend?

These Forums are aimed at business owners, CEOs, MDs, senior managers or strategic leaders located in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire from high growth businesses.

Eligibility:

This Forum is open to eligible high growth businesses located in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire that can demonstrate 20% annual growth in revenue, employment, or market share over the past three consecutive years. You must be registered on the High Growth Accelerator project.

Receipt of this support is subject to the Subsidy Control Act (2022). To qualify an enterprise cannot have received more than £315,000 Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA) and or De Minimis within any three-year period.
