The human brain has amazing problem-solving abilities, and goals channel our minds toward finding solutions. Whilst looking back and considering how your business survived in 2020 is a good idea, it is even more important to look forward to 2021. Now is the time to think about what your goals and objectives for your business are, and what you need to do to achieve these.

This workshop will introduce a range of tools and techniques to enable you to start to plan action steps to reach that goal and adjust the progress toward attaining the goal if necessary.

Why is this workshop useful?

There are different types of goals you can set for your team and for yourself, but the key takeaway is that it is important to have something to aim for. Here's how goals support that:

  • They help people define a vision of where they want to be and imagine a path of how to get there.
  • They encourage people to think about the meaning of their work and how it ties into the bigger picture.
  • They build accountability i.e., do people meet their goals? What are the reasons for meeting them (or not)? How did they get there?
  • They encourage people to measure their work and think beyond "simple" execution.

Who should attend this workshop?

This workshop is for those who have had only limited experience in setting goals. Perhaps you have not been involved in running an organisation, project, or department before.
