Sales Training Core Skills Workshop

This workshop is delivered in partnership between D2N2 Growth Hub and Derbyshire Dales District Council. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

About the Trainer: Karen Cureton, Director, Cureton Consulting

Karen has a strong sales background with over twenty-five years both in retail and business. Her corporate career peaked with a role as a Sales Director for a national Housebuilder. However, being a Sales Director didn’t fit with being a mum so left corporate world in 2008 to set up her Sales and Social Media Consultancy based near East Midlands Airport.

Core services

The business now has two specific arms which cover sales training and social media, within that specifically:

o Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn training

o Social Media Management

o Social Media Strategy and planning

o Social Media coaching

o Sales Training

Karen now works with SME’s and on occasion larger companies offering the above services for their teams to build their skills in these areas. She is proud to have a high client retention rate and most of her clients come through referral.


This event is part-funded via the European Regional Development Fund, therefore we are required to evidence that you are a small to medium enterprise.

There will be a couple of forms that will need to be completed either prior to the event or on the day and these will be sent to you once you have registered. One form is to ensure you are a small to medium enterprise, the second is to capture any business support you have received over the last 3 years to ensure you haven’t exceeded €200,000. If you have previously completed these forms at a Growth Hub event you will not have to complete another set.
