PR for Your Business

Every business has a story to tell - the trick is knowing it's there and using it in the right way, to get yourself talked about.

Using the media to raise your profile can be hugely valuable for your business - but you have to know which buttons to press to ensure that journalists will be interested. They think in a certain way, so there's a knack to finding the right angle. This course will show you how.

Here's just some of what you will learn

• Understand how journalists work and think
• Gain an insight into the different needs of press, radio and TV
• Discover what makes a news story and what doesn't
• Understand that these days, PR isn't just about the media
• Hone your writing skills
• Learn the ingredients for a successful press release

Course outcome

You will have new ideas for how to promote your business - in the media and elsewhere. You'll also take away a clear understanding of what journalists are looking for - and a draft news release for your own business.

Who should attend?

We expect this course to have particular appeal for anyone running a business or with responsibility for marketing it. If you're interested in seeking publicity but don't know how to go about it, this course is just what you need.

Course delivery

This course is delivered from the Chambers modern training facilities and is limited to a maximum of 12 delegates. There is no requirement for delegates to bring any stationery or IT equipment unless otherwise stated in joining instructions.
