The University of Nottingham is delighted to be hosting this event in partnership with B-Global, Nottingham City Council and the D2N2 Growth Hub – 25 October 2018

Nottingham City Council has identified that black-owned businesses are under-represented in current business-support initiatives across the city and is initially helping to co-ordinate with B-Global; an exciting new business platform for start-ups, established and scale-up black businesses (African/African Caribbean heritage) in the city of Nottingham. B-Global is designed to ensure all SMEs have the opportunity to grow to their full potential.

Events like this one which bring together influential members of the black business community in Nottingham will help to build up interest in B-Global, enabling its members to:

  • Establish a fully functioning directory of black businesses in the city
  • Bring businesses together to network, share and celebrate
  • Create a robust black business community hub
  • Develop a black business forum
  • Provide a well-resourced platform for entrepreneurs
  • Facilitate a network for growth, innovation and empowerment
  • Help grow the Black Business Growth Sector locally, nationally and globally

Who can access this support?

  • Pre-startups
  • Start-ups
  • Existing businesses trading in the city of Nottingham

Cllr Leslie Ayoola says: “B-Global is part of the council’s drive to support micro, small and medium sized enterprises to help grow the local economy and create jobs. If you are a black business owner, B-Global gives you a platform to access the latest business support as well as events and answers to any business queries you may have.”
