Emergency First Aid at Work



The course will contain a detailed overview of necessary actions to take for a variety of medical emergencies in the absence of a fully qualified First Aider & gives the chance to practise CPR

Course programme in detail:



• Health & safety
• First aid kit
• Resuscitation - adult, child, baby
• Recovery Position
• Head Injuries
• Breaks, Sprains & Strains
• Choking - adult, child, baby
• Burns & Scalds
• Asthma
• Poisoning (including anaphylaxis)
• Epilepsy
• Shock
• Bleeding & nose bleed

Course outcome:



Assessment is carried out during the course and each delegate will receive a certificate valid for 3 years, although it is recommended that skills are refreshed every 18 months.

Who should attend:



This course is ideal for smaller work places for persons in a low-high risk work environment, it is also ideal to 'back up' fully qualified First Aiders in a larger workforce.

Anyone who feels they may benefit from the skills necessary to aid a person requiring First Aid. Parents or carers may find this helpful, this course is suitable for all levels.

Course delivery:



This course is delivered from the Chambers modern training facilities and is limited to a maximum of 12 delegates. Lunch and refreshments are provided as part of this course. Please note, there is no requirement for delegates to bring any stationery or IT equipment unless otherwise stated in the joining instructions.
