Rural Community Awards Now Open

The Plunkett Foundation is welcoming applications for this year’s annual awards celebrating achievements of rural community businesses in tackling rural issues.

This Masterclass is aimed at small to medium-sized enterprises (regardless of their sector) which are based in a rural environment.

You will learn:

– What are the unique opportunities posed by rural-location working and how can you learn from those businesses who have enjoyed success working rurally?

– What are the challenges faced by rural-based businesses and how can you overcome them?

– How can you develop the skills to excel at business communication and networking in order to reach out and capture clients and customers? How can you tap into support services for rural based businesses?

– Delegates should expect a fast pace coverage of key issues, plenty of practical advice and guidance and opportunities to network with like-minded individuals.

The workshop is funded by European Social Fund and delivered by Caroline Newns. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Caroline Newns runs her own ‘Micro’ enterprise and has supported business owners for over twenty years. 

She works with businesses which vary in size and complexity, both in the UK and internationally. 

She is an accomplished industry conference speaker; a Mentor at the University of Lancaster Management School and a passionate advocate of straight-talking and supportive business advice. 

Caroline has run a number of successful Masterclasses for  ‘Skills Support for the Workforce’ and Learndirect is delighted to have her on board again.
