Textile Growth Programme

The Textile Growth Programme is a Regional Growth Funded project focused on creating and safeguarding jobs through a grant scheme supporting capital projects and research and development in the textile industry.

Eligible companies will be large, medium, small and micro businesses within the textiles sector. The scheme covers manufacturers from carpets to clothing, as well as industry suppliers, such as textile machinery manufacturers and designers.

Eligible geographical areas include Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire.

Delivered by Manchester Growth Hub, the Textile Growth Programme advisers can help you to put together an eligible project for funding and guide you through the application process. They can also work with you to implement strategies that will allow your business to grow over the short, medium or long-term.

The programme can also offer additional support in areas such as finance, manufacturing advice and international trade, along with skills and management development.

Support is available in the following areas:

• Apparel manufacture (cut, make and trim)
• Technical Textiles & innovation
• Finishing (wet processing)
• Knitwear as part of apparel

Also considered:
• Printing & Design (as part of apparel manufacture)
• Footwear
• Textiles Machinery manufacture in the UK
• Homeware, bedding, carpets, testing (where this uses UK suppliers and benefits the UK)
