Sarah Gatford is a Registered Qualified BSL Interpreter with the National Register of Communication Professionals With Deaf and Deaf-Blind People - NRCPD (RSLI). Qualifying in 2000 and being an NVQ Interpreting Assessor, she has broad based experience of working in education, employment, legal and mental health settings and specialises in theatre interpreting.

Sarah’s business had been established for 4 years when we met and the last 12 months had been particularly difficult with austerity cuts effecting the funding available to support the services she offers so she was open to a business review to help her focus on the key issues impeding business growth and to help her understand the relevant business support projects that could help her move forward.

RA Tech UK Ltd


Working with Time 2 Innovate a pilot scheme within the Institute for Innovation in Sustainable Engineering which aims to support SME’s in the D2N2 area, RA Tech UK Ltd devised and invented (patent pending) a product that will overcome the challenge of connecting an Unvented Hot Water Heater pressure/temperature relief valve directly to a foul waste or soil pipe and used a £1500 Innovation Voucher to explore the manufacture of one part of their innovative design using advanced CNC machining and to explore how manufacture of the whole product impacts on product performance.

New Low Carbon Wall Panel


Working with Time 2 Innovate a pilot scheme within the Institute for Innovation in Sustainable Engineering which aims to support SME’s in the D2N2 area, Sym-Wall Building Technology Ltd (SBT) a pioneering company is developing a new low carbon wall panel technology known as Sym-Wall®, produced from a synthetic form of waste gypsum (the result of de-sulphurization of emissions from coal-fired power stations). The technology helps to improve energy efficiency by its thermal insulation properties and has the potential to transform construction methods around the world.
