Using the latest CAD software, KN Technical offer a full Building Information Modelling (BIM) and detailing service to steelwork fabricators, main contractors, architects and consulting engineers. They assist their clients with 3D steel detailing, whilst offering technical support and commercial tracking of projects through the design stages. Upon receipt of the D2N2 Capital Growth Fund the company has been able to invest in the recruitment of new graduate talent to help grow the business. 

We have chosen to invest in the future of the business by bringing in quality graduate-level employees who can learn from the experience that Kevin and I have gained throughout our careers. The grant funding has helped us to provide the infrastructure to increase our team from 2 to 4 to meet the needs of our clients both now and in the near future.

A-Chem Ltd

Established in 1965, A-Chem are a manufacturer of liquid solutions. They formulate, blend and fill chemical solutions for various markets, including high-end car care and detailing products, and wood treatments. With help from the D2N2 Capital Growth Fund, the company has been able to invest in a state of the art mixing station to help them expand their product range.

The firm received 29 hours of support through the attendance of workshops, along with consultancy to ensure the website was as effective as it could be. Workshops attended covered a wide range of subjects including blogging for business, effective web content, integrating social media and advanced Google Analytics. Consultancy included expert advice about SEO.

David Gill & SonDavid Gill & Son is a traditional blacksmith and ironworks, working out of the picturesque Aslockton Forge. David hand-crafts a range of personalised decorative objects, from candle holders to horseshoe hearts, which he sells online via Etsy. David accessed 21 hours of support from the D2N2 Growth Hub by attending fully-funded workshops which included working with digital images and visual marketing via Instagram and Pinterest. This was a vital avenue for promotion given the highly-visual nature of his products. These workshops gave him a broader understanding of the importance of images in ecommerce, and ways to capture professional-looking photographs for use on social media.
