Jointly funded by the European Commission and Innovate UK, our experts advise and connect those looking to commercialise ideas and succeed in new markets. We assist with technology transfer opportunities, promote your existing technology or find potential business partners and broker partnership agreements. If you want to launch your latest exciting innovation, or you are a business exporting regularly, or for the first time, the Enterprise Europe Network can help you. In the UK, Enterprise Europe Network is delivered by 24 organisations located across England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC)

HM Revenue and Customs
HMRC offer a range of support for exporters. Companies new to trading overseas will find HMRC’s Guide to importing and exporting useful along with e-learning courses on exports and trading with other EU countries. All services are supported by the Customs helpline tel: 0300 200 3700.

HMRC information hosted on the www.gov.uk website covers a range of topics including starting to import and export, VAT and other taxes, commodity codes, tax duties and licenses that apply to your goods, importing and exporting by post, shipping goods and incoterms.

A range of webinars - online seminars - have been designed especially for those about to be involved in trading internationally. Register online for one hour sessions introducing International Trade, Inward Processing (IP), Outward Processing (OP), Customs Warehousing and Export Preference.


Chamber International Trade Team

Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce
Information and support for companies trading internationally can be accessed through the East Midlands Chamber International Trade team. The Export Documentation service supports local businesses by issuing and certifying a range of documents to ensure the smooth transition of goods overseas.
